Novadsa

Novadsa is an information technology company based in İstanbul. It works across enterprise data and AI, platform engineering, cloud technologies and DevOps.

We have long been part of organizations' data and infrastructure transformation projects. Kauzas came out of a need we met in those projects again and again. In regulated organizations and those handling critical data — banking, finance, energy, healthcare, the public sector — moving to a modern data and AI infrastructure is not only a question of which technology to pick. Where the data is held, where it is processed, who can reach it, and how much control the organization keeps over its infrastructure matter just as much.

Under Türkiye's banking (BDDK), data protection (KVKK) and energy (EPDK) regulation, and sector rules besides, organizations can carry quite different obligations around data residency, transfers abroad, information security and access control. We built Kauzas so that an organization can take advantage of modern Data & AI technologies while keeping its data and workloads on infrastructure it chooses, and keeping control over the technology.

The aim is not to give up modern technology in order to meet regulation, but to run modern technology inside the organization's own boundary.

Kauzas

Kauzas is an enterprise Data & AI platform developed by Novadsa. Novadsa develops, licenses and supports the platform.

Kauzas is designed so that organizations can run their data and AI workloads on infrastructure they control themselves. Its Kubernetes-based architecture means the same approach can be deployed in the organization's own data centre, in private cloud environments or on suitable public cloud infrastructure.

What do we do differently?

A good part of enterprise Data & AI platforms depend either on a cloud provider's managed services or on particular vendors' closed technology and data formats. These approaches offer a fast start, but over time they can narrow an organization's technology and infrastructure options.

The Kauzas approach is to keep the flexibility open technologies give, while offering those technologies under a platform experience that is governable, secure and integrated at enterprise scale.

With that approach:

• The control plane and the data plane can sit on whichever infrastructure the organization prefers.
• User, agent, tool and data-source policy can be applied together, so AI applications reach only the data and resources they are permitted to.
• The platform can be installed and operated in disconnected network environments.
• The operational complexity open technologies bring with them is managed by the platform rather than left on the organization.
• The data layer holds even when the compute technology changes.

Two separate platforms

The Kauzas Data Platform manages an organization's data infrastructure. The lakehouse, data catalogue, query, data processing and governance layers run on the organization's own Kubernetes infrastructure.

The Kauzas AI Platform brings search, AI assistants and AI agent applications that work on the organization's data into service. It integrates with existing data infrastructure.

The two platforms can be used independently of one another and licensed separately. They can work together within the same organization, but neither is a prerequisite for the other.
